About the role:

As an SDE I, you will play a pivotal role in developing high-quality, scalable mobile applications while contributing to the overall technology vision and success of the team. If you’re passionate about solving real-world problems with technology, building innovative solutions, and working on large-scale systems, this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize Android applications for delivery partners.
• Collaborate with product and UX teams to extend app capabilities and enhance user experience.
• Integrate Google Maps SDK and other sensor-based technologies like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
• Maintain high standards of code hygiene with linting, unit tests, CICD pipelines, and benchmarking.
• Drive best practices in coding, architecture, and testing through code reviews and design discussions.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve app performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and own the complete architecture and technology vision for the product.
• Optimize for mobile-specific challenges, including push notifications, session management, and third-party SDK integrations.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in Android app development, with expertise in Native SDKs and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency in Google Maps SDK, mobile architecture, and emerging technologies.
• Strong background in CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals, particularly ES6, is a plus.
• Experience with shipping apps to the Google Play Store and handling app versioning.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring, push notifications, and security fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas effectively.
• Ability to work with web views, metrics, and session management.
