Role Overview:
As a Java Application Support (L2/L3) engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Java applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve tickets raised by the Helpdesk team, perform root cause analysis, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 support for Java applications in a Unix environment.
Strong proficiency in SQL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis.
Handle tickets raised by the Helpdesk team, prioritize alerts based on severity, and resolve issues within SLA.
Conduct root cause analysis of incidents, analyze code impact, and provide findings to the development team.
Timely escalation to the development team for high priority issues requiring further support.
Systematic and timely communication to stakeholders across various channels regarding issue severity and resolution status.
Provide weekend maintenance support, monitor critical alerts, and attend escalations from Helpdesk and Production management teams as needed.
Requirements:
Strong working experience in L2 support with a Unix environment and development experience.
4 to 10 years of experience in supporting projects with ticketing tools.
Proficiency in SQL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis.
Experience in handling Java application support issues and performing root cause analysis.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Willingness to provide weekend maintenance support and attend escalations on a need basis.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
