We are seeking a Director of Academic Excellence to help us position our company for the next phase of growth. You will work closely with our Director of Student Success to architect the next series of training tracks designed for B2C and B2B markets. This position will have a high degree of autonomy and will influence the future of training and growth.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A background in network engineering, cybersecurity, software development, or related fieldExperience designing, developing, and delivering technical concepts/curriculum.
  • World class communication/ teaching skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for teaching and helping individuals break into and/or advance technology careers
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality content on schedule

LOCATION:
NexGenT is a 100% fully remote company
Candidates will reside in the US and follow standard work hours (Monday - Friday 8am-5pm) with occasional outside hours and flexibility expected.

JOB DUTIES
Lead Academic Program Quality and Improvement
Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, and assessment practices.
Ensure programs meet institutional standards, accreditation requirements, and learning outcomes.
Drive Data-Informed Continuous Improvement
Analyze student performance data, program evaluation results, and institutional metrics.
Recommend and implement strategies to improve retention, completion, and overall academic success.

Foster a Culture of Academic Innovation
Lead initiatives around new learning technologies, high-impact practices, or academic innovation.
Promote collaboration across departments to elevate instructional quality and student outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience working in a technical capacity (network engineer, software engineer, cybersecurity, etc.) with relevant qualifications/certifications aligned to this work.
Experience designing, developing, and delivering technical content (preferably online)
3+ years of leadership experience
Must have strong computer skills and spreadsheet/Excel/Google Sheet skills
Must have strong organizational skills
Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Previous startup experience is preferred but not required
Military experience is a plus

TRAVEL
Some travel as needed to corporate events, generally < 5%
