About Honey Homes
Honey Homes is a membership service that makes home upkeep effortless by pairing members with a dedicated handyperson and a simple app to coordinate everyday to-dos, maintenance, and repairs.
Our team is made up of passionate individuals who have made significant impact at companies such as DoorDash, Opendoor, Yelp, and PayPal. We're backed by Khosla Ventures, Pear.vc, and the co-founders of DoorDash, Lyft, and Opendoor.
What You'll Do
Learn the business from the front lines. Your first weeks are spent talking to candidates and understanding how our field operation actually runs: what makes a great handyperson, why the good ones say yes, and where our hiring process loses people. That context is the foundation for everything else.
Own how we find and hire tradespeople nationally. You will run a full-cycle process to hire ten or more handypeople per month across our markets, and own the candidate experience end to end: fast, warm, and professional from first contact to first day.
Build AI-powered ways of working. We are building an AI-native operations team. You will design and run workflows in Claude and other tools to automate sourcing, screening, scheduling, and follow-up. AI tools are central to how we work here, not a buzzword. You will build with them daily.
Turn a hiring problem into a hiring system. When a market is dry, you will figure out why, test a new channel, and keep what works. Job boards are the floor, not the ceiling. Some of our best ideas have come from someone deciding to go stand in a Home Depot parking lot on a Tuesday morning.
Drive decisions with data. Track where candidates come from, where they drop, and what a hire actually costs. Build the reporting that tells leadership where to spend next.
Partner across the business. Work directly with Field Operations, Member Success, and leadership so hiring keeps pace with how fast we open new markets.
What Success Looks Like
In your first year you will:
Consistently hit monthly hiring targets across multiple markets.
Build sourcing channels that did not exist when you started, and be able to prove which ones work.
Design and ship AI workflows that take repetitive work out of the process and cut time per hire.
Build the reporting that lets us see a market going dry before it costs us a launch.
Become the person the field team trusts to solve a staffing problem.
What We're Looking For
We care less about boxes checked than about curiosity, drive, and the instinct to build. The strongest candidates will bring many of the following:
Zero to three years out of school. This is an early-career role and we will teach you the craft of recruiting.
Genuine curiosity about AI, and ideally a track record of using tools like Claude or ChatGPT to make something work better. Having built something, even something small, matters more than years of experience.
Strong analytical instincts. You are comfortable with a spreadsheet and you use data to decide, not to decorate.
Energy for high-volume, people-facing work. You do not flinch at the fiftieth call of the day.
A bias toward ownership. When you hit a wall, you find another way rather than waiting to be told.
Clear, warm written and verbal communication.
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a seat at a recruiting agency, and it is not a coordinator job. You will work directly with our National Operations Lead and have real access to the CEO and leadership team. Rather than running someone else's playbook, you will build ours: the sourcing channels, the AI workflows, the screening system. If you are excited by startups, energized by ambiguity, and want to be the person who builds the hiring machine rather than the person who operates it, we would like to meet you.
