The Opportunity

As our SDR / Events Marketer, your job is to help more homeowners discover Honey Homes and ultimately get more walk-thrus on the calendar.

A walk-thru is the first in-home appointment where a prospective member meets with one of our specialists to review their home, discuss projects and maintenance needs, and learn how Honey Homes works.

This role sits at the intersection of inside sales, field marketing, and community growth. Some days you’ll be responding to inbound leads and booking walk-thrus over phone, text, and email. Other days you’ll be representing Honey Homes at local events, farmers markets, door knocking campaigns, and community activations across the Bay Area.

You’ll work closely with both Sales and Marketing and will have meaningful influence on messaging, outreach tactics, and local growth experiments as we continue scaling.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves people, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys turning interest into action.

This is a contract-to-hire role based in Oakland, CA, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term role as the company scales.


Outcomes

1. Generate and book new walk-thrus

You’ll help turn homeowner interest into scheduled onboarding visits by creating thoughtful, high-conviction first impressions across inbound and outbound channels.

Examples:

  • Respond quickly and professionally to inbound leads across phone, text, and email

  • Follow up persistently with unbooked leads to increase conversion rates

  • Help improve response quality, speed, and messaging across the funnel

  • Contribute ideas that increase booked walk-thrus and lead conversion

2. Expand local awareness through events and field marketing

You’ll help Honey Homes become a more visible and trusted brand in the communities we serve.

Examples:

  • Represent Honey Homes at local events, farmers markets, fairs, and community activations

  • Help source and coordinate new grassroots marketing opportunities

  • Build authentic relationships with homeowners in the field

3. Support growth experimentation and feedback loops

You’ll act as an important bridge between prospective members and internal teams by surfacing insights and helping test new growth ideas.

Examples:

  • Share customer objections, feedback, and trends with Sales and Marketing

  • Test creative outreach ideas and local acquisition tactics

  • Help improve field processes, messaging, and event execution

  • Ultimately: do whatever helps generate more qualified walk-thrus

Qualifications

We’re seeking a motivated, high-energy operator who enjoys people-facing work and thrives in fast-moving environments.

Ideal backgrounds include:

  • SDR / BDR experience

  • Appointment setting or phone sales

  • Events, hospitality, or brand ambassador work

  • Customer-facing startup experience

  • Community marketing or grassroots outreach

Additional requirements:

  • Comfortable working weekends and attending field events

  • Comfortable traveling throughout the Bay Area for field work and activations

Home services experience is a plus, but not required.
