Business Operations Manager
Adora
About Adora
Adora is an Australian startup on a mission to give product teams a real-time, complete view of what their users actually experience. We help teams answer the question: “Where can I see what our users see?” and act on it. With Adora, teams can instantly visualise how their product works in the wild, spot friction, and improve the experience without guesswork.
Launching out of stealth earlier this year, we’ve already attracted thousands of companies to our waitlist and are proud to count Canva, Notion and Linktree among our early customers. Our team of 15 brings experience from some of the best product-led companies in the world including Canva, Amazon, Dropbox and Figma, and we’re just getting started!
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager to take ownership of Adora’s business operations. In this role, you’ll report directly to the CEO and act as the operational backbone of the company — ensuring that finance, compliance, people operations, and risk management are not only handled smoothly, but continually improved as we grow.
This is a broad and impactful role. You’ll balance hands-on execution with designing scalable processes that support our next stage of growth. You’ll partner with leaders across the business, coordinate with external advisors, and act as the go-to person for keeping our company on track.
What You’ll Do
- Own and run Adora’s core business operations, ensuring finance, people, legal, and compliance processes run smoothly and scale as we grow.
- Work with our accounting partner to manage bookkeeping and strategic accounting efforts and legal partner to manage any commercial agreements across customers, vendor & people requirements.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, performance cycles, and policy updates to create a consistent and positive employee experience.
- Support security and risk processes, including Vanta workflows, quarterly access reviews, and Trust Center documentation, alongside our engineering team.
- Lead team engagement activities including team offsites and initiatives around fun, strategy, professional development and team feedback.
- Oversee office operations, ensuring day-to-day business runs without friction.
- Partner with our CEO, engineering, and external advisors to design and improve the systems that keep the company compliant, secure, and efficient.
- Keep internal documentation, policies, and knowledge bases up to date and easy to access.
Who You Are
- Experience in operations, business administration, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organised with excellent project management skills; able to turn ambiguity into structured, repeatable processes.
- Clear and confident communicator who can collaborate across teams and with external partners.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment with shifting priorities and evolving needs.
- Confidence & interest in using emerging tools & technology to support process efficiency.
- Bonus: Experience in high-growth tech companies, Australian business compliance, startup accounting, commercial contract review, R&D tax incentive processes, security compliance, or equity structures.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary + equity in a fast-growing early-stage startup.
- Remote-first culture, with an office in Surry Hills for jam sessions.
- High ownership and autonomy in a role that touches every part of the business.
- Supportive, collaborative team culture built on clarity, accountability, and genuine respect.
- The chance to shape how a fast-growing startup operates and scales from the ground up.
